This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns. You'll play as one of four new survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of classic and upgraded weapons. You'll be putting these weapons to the test against or playing as in Versus three horrific and formidable new Special Infected.
You'll also encounter five new "uncommon" common infected, including the terrifying Mudmen. In a surprise announcement on the official Left 4 Dead blog , Valve revealed it wants to take the ideas of a fan-created mod and shape it into the next DLC pack for the game -- and the studio wants your help to do it.

The first DLC package for Valve's zombie survival shooter Left 4 Dead 2 arrives tomorrow with familiar friends, new weapons, and enemies.
The Passing also brings with it new game modes, including Mutations, a series of weekly events that should keep zombie hunters entertained for months. Valve's long-awaited DLC for Left 4 Dead 2, The Passing, is coming soon, bringing with it three of the main characters from the franchise's first game.
