This is not working with Udemy courses even with those courses that allow lectures to be downloaded. A Ranjan, Udemy recently updated, currently you may use the Record option of Allavsoft. This is a terrific tools. Get it! Yes, it does them all and has replaced two other tools.

I got this for free a few years ago and I found it so great to download from the Australian TV channel websites. I ended up paying for the full version so I could get the updates which happen often. Every now and then some downloads stopped working as the websites would change things so updates were necessary.
Unfortunately it will no longer download from 10play though. Certain shows on other channels won't download either but most do. I have tried to work out the screen record when shows won't download but I just can't work it out - but that's user error!! I know it works - it's just me. Prog installs fine but doesnt download a you tube video to mp3 conversion. Not as smoothly as other progs have but usable. This is the first software i think of when i need to download something.
Its screen doesn't look like much, but it has never failed me up to now. The inbuilt converter is nice, especially to extract the music from a video. I had the v3. A keeper. Unless I'm missing something, I see no way to do it within the UI, and I can find a config file or registry section that defines all the built-in profiles.
I have a specific need to define the exact resolution of the final video and other parameters involved in the final output. Where can these profiles be edited, even by hand if necessary?

If you prefer other setting, you may set it before the downloading. Does not run. All I get after installation Win10 is a splash screen. Greg, Have you installed any anti virus software which may prevent installation. What the heck??? I downloaded and installed the software and as I'm about to register I noted the small print that says this is strictly a trial version. It will allow me to download 5 videos of up to 5 minutes each.
Did the wrong software get downloaded? This is hardly a "lifetime" software and doesn't compare to what other users are saying in their comments.
Try registering and see if it remains a trial. Peter, You may need to register with the license key to make it a full version. How do I register the program it is only a trial when installed and I had a licence for a year before?
K, You may find the license code in the readme. You may set your name as the License name. I have been using Ant DownloadHelper to download videos from youtube and any other website, I am curious if anyone has an opinion on whether this program is better than Ant?
Or if they are similar? Will probably end up using both. It is a good video downloader. I think it is better than Ant downloader. AntDM were basically download accelerator much like IDM with additional stuff like torrenting and built-in converters after download, so in terms speed AntDM technically more speedy.
But Allavsoft have basic media editing like file converters, merge, and gives more in websites support than AntDM, in additions support of some streaming devices, even sometimes revert back by using youtube as sources directly or using bundled youtube-dl.
SOME of these downloaders self update automatically and do not require reinstallation other like allavsoft does not out of the box. Allavsoft also does not provide any significant control over which media files of the files on offer by youtube servers will be downloaded with just generic text description of a preference but no actual control.
I will try again with this. The last time it was given away it kept reverting to the standard free version and wouldn't accept the code. Does this a version given here free support Spotify? Their website says only the paid version supports Spotify, What is changed since v3. OldGuy, I am able to download from Spotify no problem with this. I have version 3. I'm thinking this is the same version, until I see a changelog indicating otherwise. This has become one of my three top video downloaders, and for ease of use it tends to be the one I reach for first.
Currently, Tubedigger is neck and neck in a tie for 1st. Applian goes way, way back, and I've not checked in on it for a very long time. The ones that are offered in the form of browser extensions I've not had good luck with. That Ares one I'd never heard of. Gene, these minor build numbers for this type of product are usually released to fix a particular services unauthorised downloader blocking counter measures. No reason to not install latest Allavsoft product if new license terms are not worse than you already have.

Haven't noticed any failures type of problems, so I would hesitate to do any update, out of concern for possibly invalidating the license for the March edition giveaway, by so doing. Hasn't been updated in a while, but it's good, a worthwhile tool for video downloading and screen recording.
I use this as well as Applian Media Catcher, both for well over a couple years and this does a good job at downloading various videos and mp3s with ease. Still prefer Applian one though.

If it is reported as Malware. Please contact your anti virus software to let them manually test our product. It is a false positive.
Everytime we update our Allavsoft, it will be reported by some of the anti virus software. After some time, when it is not newly updated, the report will automatically disappear.
I am NOT saying there is not something hidden away but tried several internet searches prior to downloading this app with the only page listing an issue with VDProxy. Program runs very well. I even tested it with Youtube, and it downloaded a video without any problems.
